All Tangled Up - Knitting From Across the Pond

This is from compilation of 50 UFO's or 50 WIPs as of 31st July 2006. This does not include the 4 items that I frogged in March 2007. Let's see how long it takes to clear the backlog... no I'm not in denial.. not really. I have so many works in progress that it's taken time to locate many of them I know 4 are hiding somewhere in the loft... but I remember them well so I know that they really do exist and are not a figment of my imagination.

WIP
#1. Cheesecake - currently 1 sleeve into the project (these kind of projects requiring cutting the yarns, mean I am committed to finishing!) Started: July 2007 I want to finish this one
#2. Carnival Sock - that 3rd sock is still not done. I've 'misplaced' the yarn
#3. Vogue Raglan - back and most of 2 sleeves are done.

#5 Another go at that baby chevron from Debbie Bliss.
#6 This is an oldie from Rowan 6. It's the cover design done in Rowan DK Tweed, a gorgeous teal colour. The sleeves are too deep and I don't like the way that it looks, so I think this is going to be frogged. It's been like 'this' for about 11 years.
#7 Cotton chenille cardigan - about 10 years old. Started this the week after my wedding. Had to rip back. Chenille doesn't like ripping
#8 Rectangular Birch
#9 Debbie Bliss Beaded Baby Cardigan - stalled because I ran out of yarn. I always find that with Debbie Bliss patterns. When I knit the larger sizes, I have a good chance of running short.
#10 Wellington boot socks - 1 complete. I have no idea where this project has escaped to.
#11 Teddy Bear Coat - lost interest and nephew is now too big to wear it even if I finish it.
#12 Rugby Jumper - never did get over the mis-spelling.
#13 Daisy - by Zoe Mellor - just a sleeve in
#14 Lorna's Laces Purple Club sock - incomprehensible pattern
#15 Cardigan from Rowan 18 - no buttons, too small, it's about 12 years old
#16 Marcia - lost interest due to large number of ends that will need to be sewn in ...and linen drape is the wrong yarn for this project
#17 Jaeger boucle .. tension was a problem with this stretchy yarn
#18 Debbie Bliss baby fair isle from Family Knits in Wool Cotton. Tension all over the shop, about 5 years old

#2 This pair of baby booties is so close. It just needs the i-cord done. I hate knitting i-cords! Started: July 2007 Finished: 12 August 2007 After several attempts at creating neat i-cord, I threw in the towel and went out and bought some ribbon. Life really is too short to spend making i-cord for booties!

Into the Bin (Not worth the trouble to unravel)
#1 Top down baby dress in CROCHET THREAD. What was I thinking? I thought this might be a nice pattern to publish, it's a really light, cool fabric and is really inexpensive to knit. Then reality struck, who would want to knit a baby top with crochet thread on 2.5mm needles and 400 odd stitches on the peplum? The fine yarn is fantastic for working one row in each colour amd knitted on a circular it's not bulky carrying the yarn up the side. 31 Dec - binned it

#2 This is something that I was toying with .. a baby shrug with a lace heart in the middle of the back. I think that it's probably a bit too fiddly for a baby sweater so never wrong up the design 30 Sept - easy come, easy go

#5 Baby bootie... lost interest because I think I'm going to run short of yarn 30 Sept - We call this long hanging fruit. Not enough yarn to complete.
#6 Elly - baby shug from Rowan Babies, knitted in Cotton cashmere. I'm stuck on the crochet edging, Sept 7: bit the bullet and unravelled it... suddenly I feel much better

#10 I was making these socks to go with the diamond sweater earlier this year. I don't think that it works well, so never finished it and never wrote up the pattern. 30 Sept - It was easy to let this on go. I was never goint to do #2
#11. Meida's Sock - by Nancy Bush. The yarn is a bit busy for this pattern and I think that the sock will work out a bit too short for what I wanted. I also made a mistake on the eye of patridge heel, so it was always going to be a frogging candidate. Started: Frogged: 5 Aug 2007
#12. Daydream inspired cardigan, knitted top down - I ran out of yarn for the border and it's been stall since. I need to rip it or redo the border with a smaller edging. Started: Feb 2007 7th Sept : Frogged it.
#13. Sock in Botany 4 ply. It's one of my designs, not finished, possibly because it's knit on 2.00mm 30 Sept - This one was a hard one to frog. I still like it. Just think that frogging and restarting it is probably the best way to go
#14. Diamond Shawl from Arctic Lace 30 Sept - i found a few sts had slipped from the needles so it's fate was decided.
#15 Alphabet Blanket - found that I made a mistake in the first tier of letters and I lost interest. One of these days, I will frog and start again. 30 Dec - Frogged it.
