This is one of my favourite patterns from Knitting on the Road. The wonderful lace is simple and elegant. The design is much more complicated than you'd think, because you need to work out when to stop and start the heel flap or you'll not be able to finish the design on the foot.





Project Notes

1. Since my sock was going to fit a very small foot, I was able to get by with 2 repeats on the foot.



2. This sock took quite a while to knit. I mean, 2.00mm needles gives a great dense fabric, but this opal colour is fabulous and I think enhanced the design. See how the yarn looks on the ball and when knitted up.
