Rowanette Carol donated this yarn to a raffle for Sheelagh's Moonwalk.
Surprisingly, I won something and Rowanette Jill, who attended the event, selected this sock yarn for me. I've never used the Black Bunny Fibers before
but this one is gorgeous. A high quality yarn, dyed with subtle/tonal variegations, just the way I like it. I even like the orange bits, a colour
that I tend to despised, in this skein, it adds a bit of zip without being intrusive.
For my trip to Madeira, I packed the skein, wound it on my flight and start knitting the Monkey socks from the Lisbon to Madeira leg. Of you see
a mad knitter, winding a skein on the plane and the yarn is clearing getting tangled and the whole thing is not going well, may I suggest that
you not interrupt her with silly questions like what are you doing? It's clearly only going to give you a tart reply and leave you sulking in your
seat. Just take a cue from the slightly harrassed looking man with the knitter. He displays classic knitter's partner behaviour. He sits back and
ignores the knitter, never once commenting that trying to wind up 400+ yards of yarn in economy class might not be a good idea.
Nearly one sock was done just getting to Madeira due to delays getting to Madeira. I had intended to gift them, but have now decided to keep them
for myself. Too many lovely memories of Madeira went into that sock.
Project Notes
1. Love the pattern. Love the yarn.
Here's the artistic pose... or should I say repose
