I love the CTH supersock eventhough it's black and a nightmare to knit with in poor light. One skein is enough to make this sock. You'll have enough for a medium ladies sock, if you do up to 9 repeats on the leg.

I started these socks when I was in Andalucia, so I had no idea how hard it would be to knit them in grey British winter days.

I deluded myself into thinking that eventhough i was off gauge I was going to get a good fitting sock. Maybe it was the sangria

but I'm betting that the scenery imparted an optimism on me. The same kind of optimism that leads us to belief that anyone would want a bottle of red wine dressed up as a raffia donkey.

2. I had to make some changes as I was getting larger socks than required. The picot cuff was worked on 68 stitches, instead of the 78 in the pattern. I then reduced the number of sts to 64 on the leg, by reducing the purl sts between the lace pattern to 1. The leg was worked on 7 repeats instead of 10 and there was no calf shaping done.

Here's the artsy shot.
