I started this pair also in Madeira but didn't finish it until I got back to London. I bought this in January and hadn't realised how bright the pink was in real life. The yarn is super-soft and lovely to work with. The bright colour will guarantee that the lost sock will easily be found. I made these for a friend and hope that she'll like them to keep her feet warm

Project Notes

1. Love the pattern. Love the soft yarn. I think the base yarn is Louet's Gem, well it feels that way to me. It's a pretty stretchy pattern too.

See how the pattern comes alive when stretched out.

2. I did make a few modifications. I used a tubular cast-on and instead of using a twisted rib for the cuff, I twisted only stitch that was going to come down the leg pattern. I also added a full repeat, as I'm making these for a large size feet.

3. I love the subtle variegations that you get in hand-dyed solids. These are really, really, really bright pink. Sometimes choosing things on the internet can bring great surprises.

Here's the artistic pose...
