Diamond Seed Jacket

Another winner from Interweave. This pattern is darling, but most definitely not a quick knit. As you're working texture on the 'right' and 'wrong' side, you have to pay attention or the diamonds will go wrong. It's a really cute cardigan thought, pity that it's only available in 1 size.

The most difficult thing was getting the sleeves in neatly. The garment was knitted in one piece and the sleeves had to be eased into the armhole. It's not hard to do, if you take time and pin it out in advance.

Project Notes

1. See how crisp the diamonds look, after a light blocking.

2. and the buttons.. just gorgeous. Chose by Kristine. As usual, I bought an extra one and sewed it into the garment.

Here's the artistic pose. .. reclining in a fresh clipped lavender bush.
