The pattern was very easy to follow. I substituted the wool/cotton recommended in the pattern with some felted tweed that I had in my stash. What makes this pattern so good is, if you tend to buy the discontinued packs of yarn in 10's, you'll always have 2-3 balls left over. You can also use part balls left over and do a stripey vest.

Project Notes

1. Emma had alerted me to a problem with the neck being tight, so I made the vee about an inch before the pattern directed.

...neck opening ..

2. Felted Tweed is a pleasure to knit with. It's got a good amount of elasticity, lovely flecks and gets gets very regular stitches.

3. This photo is truest to the colour of the yarn. The side seams were mattress stitched together. Knitting this again, I would definitely do it in the round.
