Deb's Socks

A simple sock pattern, suitable for a man or woman. I made these using some Mountain Color's Weavers Wool that I bought for me. My mother, had other ideas when she saw the yarn and asked that I make her something, for those cold NY winters. So, of course, I did. (She is my mother afterall and she had to carry me around in her belly for nearly 9 months, and then put up with me after that.)

For my mom.

Did I mention that Debra Chinn is a really nice lady? She saved me *big time* when I ran out of some Socka 50. She liberated a skein from her stash so that I could finished my husband's wickerware socks. The helpfulness of knitters, never cease to amaze me.

I just love this Yarn. It's wonderful to knit with and the colours are really fantastic.

It's so hard to see the pattern when you knit with dark yarns

Project Notes

1. The sock knitted up realy quickly and was lovely to the touch. The pattern was really well written and easy to remember.

2. My mom loves these socks, but she worn through the heels on the first outing. This was very disappointing for the cost of the yarn and effort. I knitted these on 2.5mm and achived 8 stitches per inch, so I was really surprised by how delicate this yarn was, after hearing raves from other sock knitters. I won't use this yarn for socks again, much as I liked it.

For my mom.
