Here's a bit of progress. These socks were a bit of a cheat since the yarn is sport weight. Obviously, not for me, since they are a little big. Right now, I have 2.8 socks to go to finish my christmas knitting

Assorted miscellany
Thanks for the kind words on the blondies and brownies. The plates were from M & S. All that baking and wrapping made me feel very Kristie Allsopp. I saw the episode when she went to VV Rouleaux and got a lesson on making ribbon roses... very pretty. I. so. know.. how she felt when Annabel Lewis starting cutting up the ribbons, oh no..... how can we cut up this gorgeous ribbon!!
She talked about how much money she saved by making the gifts herself, and I was itching to point out that she probably spent more money on the ribbons and trimmings than on the gifts! (knitters know the point of hand made is the uniqueness and time spent rather than cash spent)
The usual annoying, christmas thing happened, I went to the post office (and queued for 45 minutes in the cold) to pick up a parcel, got home and see that postie has left another notice about a missed parcel for me. hate it when that happens!
Socks are socks; that's not a cheat! My favorite are sport or DK. I've even stooped to worsted.
Your socks look great!
