It's amazing how different yarns can yield such different results.
This is my Aimili pattern, using Ripples Craft BFL DK in Mulberry Juice. I used 1 skein (100g) on 5mm needles and ended up with a reasonable sized scarf of 7.25 inches wide and 48 inches long, which is 18.5 cm x 96.5cm123.5cm, in metric. (thanks Mary! That was shoddy editting on my part)

So one skein is plenty for a scarf. To maximise the length, one half had 16 repeats and the other had 17 repeats before joining, so it's not perfectly symetrical, but it's really not noticeable at all

The Blue Faced Leicester DK is really deliciously soft... and the colours are just glorious!
* Knitters do have a secret language. If you're not in the 'in', would you know what BFL DK meant?

I didn't know the BFL till quite recently -- wool is just wool, isn't it? -- Nooooo.
I wonder about your metric conversion, though. 48 inches is more than a meter!
Posted by: Mary de B at June 10, 2009 12:20 PMIt's lovely Polly, as are the colours and yarn. When did you find time to knit this?!
Posted by: dawn at June 10, 2009 09:09 AMOh, this is wonderful! I love the pattern and the color, so pretty!
Posted by: Sallie at June 10, 2009 04:04 AMIt's beautiful, Polly!
I did not know the dk part of the abbreviation before I began knitting, and did not know the bfl portion until I began spinning.
Posted by: Sarah at June 9, 2009 11:29 PMIt looks lovely, especially in that yarn.
