Yes, #51 from the 52 Pair Plunge. Progress is looking good. Unless I break an arm in the next 2 days, I am going to finish it

These are my Nordisch Socks from Stephanie van der Linden's Socken aus aller Welt. I couldn't follow the instructions in the book since they were in German, but I did follow the charts and used the photo as a guide. The pattern had a short row heel that I dispensed with, replacing it with a traditional heel flap and gusset. There was certain amount of making it up as I went along.
I love the little birds.

and of course, the patterning on the soles.

This wasn't an easy pattern as it was my first stranded sock. I used Cygnet 4 ply, which is a skinny 4 ply, so the socks aren't too thick. They aren't perfect, one foot is definitely tighter than the other but I don't mind too much.

They look great! Not sure I have the patience yet to do a stranded sock. I agree, the birds are just perfect.
