I don't know how last year's winner of most socks did it, even if I knittted ever spare moment, there is no way that I can crank out 42 pairs of socks in 70 days!

ETA: Now that my PC has been consigned to the scrapheap, I might stand a chance, that is of course, until I get a new one. It would not be fair to take over the hubbler's PC on a regular basis!

Wow - you knitted these gorgeous socks in 4 days! That's a record by my standards! I love the pattern.

I think you made a great decision to make the first pair out of dk weight. Nearly instant gratification and I bet you could make 42 pairs if you really tried!

Very nice! I like the pattern and the colorway!

42 - the answer to everything.....

I like your first pair and the way the colours echo the flowers in the background. Lightning speed indeed!

42 pairs of socks - sheesh - that would take me a couple of year to complete! Your socks look great.

You can do it Polly, even if you don't make 42 pairs, you'll have made a sizeable dent in your stash. How they managed to do it, we'll probably never know. I've had to make 6 pairs of mens socks in the last 3 weeks and that was a marathon. To keep it up would drive me to insanity. Just keep thinking of all the extra space you'll have so you can buy more ;)

Ah well, the curse of the internet! It takes up knitting time!
I think 42 socks are pure madness as well (I keep getting this mental picture of a knitter frantically knitting on socks while cooking and shopping and cleaning... wait, maybe NOT doing those things is how you knit so many socks!)...

I think it helps if you don't work!
I am slightly relieved to see that your socks are dk weight. Just slightly. I was a little alarmed to see that some people are now posting 4ply weight socks!

Lovely socks btw. One down, 41 to go!
