Boo-boo

I won something

I rarely win anything in contests, usually when I do win, it's something like a fancy loo brush or a turkey the day before Christmas ...but I was really lucky to win on Abigail's contest. Look at this gorgeous koigu.

In the most vibrant blues.. I just love it....it looks like the perfect yarn for Froot Loops. Am I a lucky girl or what. Thanks Abigail!

Secret Garden Update

It's been a really busy week here, so busy that knitting didn't figure much at all. I did manage to finish a sleeve and start the second one,

but when I hauled it out to photograph today, I noticed a boo-boo. So disheartening especially as I detest moss stitch, but I think that I'll rip back and fix it after I'm done with the second sleeve. It's on the sleeve cap, so I should be able to fix it without too much ripping.

Can you tell me a few particulars about SECRET GARDEN such as who is it by, is it in a book or a pamphlet? It is just beautirul!

Your mistake looks like what my moss stitch pattern, if there is one to be found, looks like!

At least you spotted it - I'm sure it won't take long to correct.

I've found it hard to find time to knit this week too - but I wanted to know how secret garden was progressing. It looks lovely.

Oh dear - at least you spotted it. That Koigu is very pretty.

If that extra knit instead of purl stitch isn't in a column that's involved in the sleeve cap shaping, you should be able to take out the bind-off and then work down just that one stitch and then back up after changing it to purl.

Congratulations on winning the Koigu, they are such lovely shades of blue and will give you a fantastic pair of Froot Loops.

You have done so well on Secret Garden, such a shame to have to rip back but at least it isn't far. At least you spotted it now and not after it was all put together. Moss stitch can be such a bind, I do love the effect of it even though even if I'm not too keen on knitting it.
