How did I do on the the May goals?
Pretty poor if I say so myself!
1. Finish Sylph
Nope... didn't work on it much .. just blocked the ruffles on the body
2. Finish the adapted Gentlemen's Plain Winter socks
Finished it.

3. Start and Finish another pair of socks
Finished it. Ellen's Stockings from Nancy Bush's Folk Knitting in Estonia

4. Finish 1 item from the WIP list. I want to stay under 20 wips...even if it means that I'll have to do quite a bit of ripping this month.
No progress
5. start and finish 1 baby sweater. There are actually 2 new babies that I should had made things for. One arrived in Nov and the other in Feb. Both are boys and it's always difficult to find interesting patterns for boys
No progress
6. Start a new sweater for me. I'm thinking of Joy from Kim Hargreaves or Ripple from the Nectar collection.

Have decided to start something for my god-daughter instead. Here is Secret Garden from Alice Starmore's Children's Collection. I've working it in denim and tweaking the pattern as I go along.
7. Start an interesting lace project.

I did start the Alphabet blanket from Debbie Bliss but made a mistake. It's now sitting in a bag under the bed
I did manage a pair of unplanned socks
Meida's Socks in Favorite Socks by Nancy Bush.

June goals are going to be easy, particularly as I've signed up for 2 knit-alongs.
1. Finish Secret Garden
2. Knit a lot of socks. I don't even have a single sock on the needle at the moment, I'm waiting with anticipation for summer of Socks to start before I cast on.
See... I'm gathering my sock stash together.

Sensible goals. I've got two lots of blanket squares, a nearly finished baby cardigan and a plain knitted top to finish before the socks. Of course you've got the 52 Pair Plunge from 1st June, I don't start until 21st!
I'm knitting one pair of socks right now, but after that I'm holding off until June 21st and the start of Summer of Socks 08. My sock yarn stash isn't all that big.
Posted by: Plain Jane at June 2, 2008 12:06 AMPolly, there are always lots more interesting and pretty baby girl patterns out there but I know that there are also lots of very cute boy patterns too - as my poor son will testify. I'll email you some suggestions if you are that short!
