First the March Round-up.
1. Finish knitting 2 balls of the Arctic Diamond Lace stole - so about 2/3 of the stole will be complete
Done. I'm 2 balls into the stole and the pattern is interesting without being too demanding.

2. Finish something else from the WIP pile
Done. I dug our Brittany and got over the crochet hurdle and finished it.

3. Finish the socks for the hubbler
Done. The jitterbug socks are sorted.
4. Cast on a pair of socks for the gift stash
Done, after a bit of stop and go, because I couldn't find a pattern to work with the striping, I went with plain socks. Not exciting, but it works with the yarn.

5. Start working top secret project
Not Done. We hit a few glitches and it's currently sulking in a corner
6. Continue stash evaluation and destash where appropriate
Done. I've put up some more yarn onto my ravelry destash page.
7. I am gasping to start a garment, so I will start something spring-y or maybe something warm and comforting, depending on my mood.
Done. I've stashed sylph.... have knit all the major pieces and now need to put her together and knit the ruffles.

I did manage to finish something else in March.

and start something else. These are the leaf lace socks by Susan from the Vogue Knitting Ultimate Socks Book.

and frog a sock that was never going to be finished.

So, all in all, a fairly productive March, although I did not meet all my goals. I'm now down to 22 WIPS!
I was doing well on not acquiring additional yarn. that is until I arrived at Get Knitted. Then there was a bit of restrained purchasing.

What does April hold?
1. Finish the Arctic Diamond Lace stole.
2. Finsh Sylph.
3. Finish the Leaf Lace Socks.
4. Finish 1 other project from the WIP list
5. Start and finish a baby thing
6. Cast on new sock project
7. Cast on new lace project.
The April goals are challenging because the word 'finish' was included in 'gulp' 5 of the goals.... and it's a short month too.
Posted by atu at April 2, 2008 12:01 AM | TrackBackHey! I just found this pattern that knits up in one hour (supposedly). Why not use any leftover sock yarn?

Good luck with your April Goals:)

March was a banner month for you and it looks like you met all your goals, in my opinion for March. April sounds challenging, but doable and fun. Happy April!
Posted by: Wanda at April 3, 2008 04:46 AMChallenging, but totally doable.
Posted by: Sarah at April 2, 2008 08:17 PMYou did wonderfully! What huge strides. 22 FOs is a major accomplishment and sylph looks lovely. I especially like the Vogue sock--the asymmetry is very interesting.
Posted by: suzanne at April 2, 2008 12:26 PMI think you've reached your March goals. You did start the top secret project, even if it's sulking. On top of that you finished some socks and knitted an extra pair. I think your April goals are do-able, you've done the bulk of the knitting, and if you choose a nearly finished thing from the WIP list it should be easy(ish!)
Oh my goodness, with all the occurrences of the f-word in April, your blog is going to get at least an R rating! Good luck - I am looking forward to seeing it all!
Posted by: Meg at April 2, 2008 07:48 AMYou sure had a productive month with such lovely FOs. April does sound challenging but I am sure you can do it. Happy knitting.
