March Goals

So how did I do against goals for February? Really, really good. This must be the first time that I have met my goals. Being in NY for part of the month helps, as commuting to the office from my parent's house gave me 3 extra hours of knitting time (but unfortunately, I lost 3 hours of sleeping time)

I've managed to get back under 24 UFOs.

February Round-up

1. Finish Forest Path Stole
Done!

2. Finish Lighthouse Gansey Socks
Done!

3. Rip back the hubbler's socks
Done, have ripped back and started reknitting!

4. Finish off my smooshy christmas present socks
Rowanette Jill made me the most gorgeous smooshy socks, but she hadn't closed the toes since she wasn't sure what size feet I had. I had to rip back the toe and take back the foot by about 1/2 inch. The smooshy was is really smooshy. I love these socks and now that I've reknit the toes and grafted it, I can actually wear them!

5. Finish something else from the WIP list and get back to no more than 24 wips.
Done! I finished off the spey valley socks for my dad. It was so boring and in a dark colour, but he likes it.

6. Continue stash evaluation. I'm putting some of my stuff for trade/sale on Ravelry. I really want to get rid of some of the stuff that I don't honestly think that I would ever knit up.

Clearly there's a lot more stash evaluation required, but I displace the following from my stash .

7 hanks Noro Iro
6 skeins Debbie Bliss Aran Tweed
10 balls Jaeger Chamonix
2 skeins Silkwoods Sock yarn

7. The reward? I get to cast on something lacy with some malabrigo that I have in stash.
oh yeah! I've cast on something, the arctic lace stole

Stashing Goals
A really good month, despite being in Yarn Connection and Schoolhouse Products, I've only purchased 200g of yarn for me... and 6 skeins of Rowanspun chunky (that I have been stalking for ages) and you can see, I've destashed a bit more.

So what does March hold? well..

1. Finish knitting 2 balls of the Arctic Diamond Lace stole - so about 2/3 of the stole will be complete
2. Finish something else from the WIP pile
3. Finish the socks for the hubbler
4. Cast on a pair of socks for the gift stash
5. Start working top secret project
6. Continue stash evaluation and destash where appropriate
7. I am gasping to start a garment, so I will start something spring-y or maybe something warm and comforting, depending on my mood.

Arctic Lace deserves lots of knitting time, I think. It's gorgeous! But I can understand the urge to start something springy, too. Something pink-and-green is what I keep dreaming about. ;-)

Brilliant! I've yet to meet my goals, and February was a Sick month too. Your March goals are do-able, it 's the 'finish' word which stalls us!

Congrats! You did alot of wonderful! work - that's alot of knitting! I always like to see how / what you knit in terms of socks, so inspiring. And I have to keep you in mind when I look at all the socks I've started....

What a great month. All that progress makes my eyes water. Looking forward to seeing what garment you choose to start in March.

Awesome goal-meeting! I'm especially in awe since I'm not good at self-imposed goals, I'm gullible enough to believe what I tell myself! LOL

Good for you for meeting all your goals. You inspired me to make goals too. It's really helpful to keep me focused.

Oh, I'm glad to see you're back working on the hubbler's socks too. I'm curious to see what you end of casting on for as far as a garment goes.

Congratulations on making your goals. I have a feeling March will be another successful, productive month.

I've blatantly stolen your idea of monthly goals and really enjoy reading about yours. Congratulations on the success in February! :)

And that Arctic Lace Stole looks absolutely incredible. I can't wait to see more of it.

I love how you set goals for the month--I must do this! Its great to have a plan for what you are working on now, and what will be completed.

That is a LOT of work for Feb--and it a short month too! Congrats!

Ooohhh, you have been good!!! ;-) I'm more than slightly impressed with the activity you have managed in February (especially since my activity in said month has been zero!) ;-)

Good luck with March
