Finish Line

#25

These are a very basic pair of stocking stitch anklets with about 4 inches of 2x2 ribbing on top. They work up really fast. The darning in of all the ends to create continuous colour segments on the heels, toes and gussets was enough to try the patience of a saint. Doesn't the colour reduction make this photo look a bit eery?

#26

The embossed leaf lace socks in Fybersphates sock yarn that I bought from Get Knitted.

All the ends are darned in and these babies are blocking on the clothes wrack.

I'll take some more photos and tell you more about these 2 projects another time. Right now, there's champagne to be drunk and the new year to welcome in.

Thank goodness, my dad always warned me to not be too smug about any of my achievements. I got 26 pairs of sock done this year but the knitting goddess managed 29 pairs...in addition to many, many garments and shawls. I would lay my addis at her well-shod feet.

So ends, 200SOX!

Happy New Year to you all ;-)

Excellent achievement Polly - how many are you planning for 2007!

Those are beautiful socks...astounding:) I'm duly impressed with the 26 pairs of socks. I'm working on my 4th pair for the year, so I only technically finished 3. I think your's is a great achievement.

Hi, I sent you an email but I am not sure it got through. I am interested in the Jaeger Shetland (all 5 skeins), is it still available? Thank you! Congratulations on your fabulous collection of socks!! Have a Wonderful New Year!

Wow - 26 pairs of socks! Congratulations on achieving your target!

It was lovely to meet you at Liberty. I very nearly dragged out my half finished Kiri to show you, but decided against it.

Happy New Year.
