Happy Days

I've often moaned in the past about the challenge of photographing red, but let me tell you, photographing navy isn't a picnic either. Nic suggested that I try taking pictures on an orange background. I looked everywhere, but orange is not a prominent colour in the Chez ATU decor. Let's face it, I couldn't find anything orange.

..Sitcom Chic..
On a sea of green, the navy doesn't look so flat.

..Sitcom Chic..
On a sea of stone, the navy doesn't look so lively.

..Sitcom Chic..
Too lazy original follow the pattern and crochet a buttonloop, I've added a Norwegian clasp

..Sitcom Chic..
Sitcom on a real body... not mine, but Knitter Natter Amelia . I warn you, Amelia is much slimmer than me... and doing a fine job is disguising the extra fabric.

Now back to enjoy my Pimms... and (hic) finish sewing up fruity. casting on something new, exciting and interesting. (Sorry Sarah, I try to be good, but, I'm just weak)

Fantastic, you'll get loads of wear from it. I love the clasp, it really finishes it off.

Polly, Sitcom looks great - lucky Amelia is a willing model!

We will have a chat about starting new projects when I next see you...I think I may be joining your way of thinking!!

she frolicks beautifully! And looks gorgeous on Amelia.

Now just to have you in it going around as your sprightly self :)

Love the clasp idea - she looks lovely. You should have modeled her yourself!

The picture on the grass looks good I think you should just ignore any advice I might have on photography as I have just spent half an hour chasing baby bunnies taking photos and only managed to get two shots that are useable, Pimms sounds like it may be the answer

I would have been delighted to take a picture of you wearing Sitcom but I was too tired to come up with such a good idea - sorry! It was a delight to wear and I am only sorry that it was too big for me otherwise I would have been the one running towards the door at top speed! A.xxx

Sitcom chic looks great, the clasp really adds something to it. Didn't take you too long to finish either. Enjoy!

It looks fab, Polly - but I wish we'd seen you wearing it too!!!

Hi! I am Mimi from Asian Knitters Ring. Sitcom looks very elegant with the pretty Norwegian clasp!

Posted by: mimi at May 28, 2005 03:24 AM

the clasp makes the sweater. sometimes the simple solution is the best!

I love the Norwegian clasp. It dresses the cardigan up nicely.

it looks good... but better in real life! I have a practically identical photo of something (not sitcom) knitted in navy on the grass, looking a bit washed out and lumpy!

The clasp is a great idea too.

I had three pints of ice old lager this afternoon... saving up for some more alcohol tomorrow, it's spritzer weather now!

Sitcom looks fab! I love how you took pictures of it with different backgrounds... So handy! It does look great on your friend too!

Beautiful sweater!!! I love the clasp because it adds the right touch to your marvelous cardi.

Your Sitcom chic is brilliant and the choice of clasp is just perfect. Now I want to knit it...

Beautiful, especially with the clasp. Good modelling by Amelia as well. Too late for Pimms tonight, but now you've put it in my head, I'm going to need some tomorrow!

I just love what you have done with Sitcom chic, it is truly beautiful and the clasp sets it off to perfection.

I can just see me adding this to the long list of must knits. Looking at the length of the list though means I can't die before 150 at the earliest.

I think Amelia should have photographed you wearing it.....love the clasp, and it looks good.

Your lupins do just what mine do, the heads bend over at the top. Been looking at Chelsea Flower Show on tv, all theirs are about 6 ft. tall with not a bend in sight......

So cute, love the colour, love the clasp ... I want one too ... but, I guess it will be too feminine for me..

wow, it looks great! i just cast on for mine yesterday in lavender.

Beautiful! The Norwegian Clasp really sets off the sweater. Again I say, Beautiful!
