Brand New Year

How quickly 2004 has come and gone. For me, I'm glad to see 2004 over... roll on 2005. On a personal level, the year has been somewhat of a rollercoaster ride.

So, with 2005, I hope that the bad spirits get swept away and the good spirits come back to stay.

Oh yes, and here are my new year socks. I finished them last night and gave them a quick block before shoving them onto the scanner. It was hard work making them identical.

New Year Socks
They get their official debut tomorrow

Rib socks always look a bit funny when they aren't on feet, but the fit is really good

New Year Socks
See how the rib gives a snug fit

New Year Socks
Do you realise how difficult it is, to take a photo of your feet? This one I took upside down.

My New Year Resolutions?

- knit more for ME!
- don't take friends and family for granted and be much better keeping in touch with people. I'm going to try and answer emails and not just put them aside because I get busy and forget to do it.
- be on time and stop procrastinating
- be tidier

I wish everyone a happy new year.

I just discovered your blog and have posted it on my favourites list! THanks so much for sharing the Kiri Shawl Pattern. I got some JaggerSpun Zephyr in Violet to do it in and plan on starting Sunday (although I may not be able to wait that long....) Your new sheep are great! Can you get them in the USA?

Happy New Year Polly!
New socks for the new year - does this mean that 2005 will be a sock knitting year, or that you'll always have well clad feet?

BTW, despite household tasks and dinner getting in the way, I have managed to finish Donna and Wavy , so we're now relaxing with a little vodka, some new knitting and the champagne is on ice for Jools Holland and midnight.

Dawn :)

Have a great New Year and definitely make 2005 the year you knit more for yourself. You do such a lot for others that it is about time you spent time on you, you deserve it.

Health, wealth and happiness to you and James.
