Funny Girl

Meet Lauren. Some months ago, heartwarming was sent to welcome this little angel to the Geek's family. I'm not sure if it has taken the Geek this long to get the photos because the sweater didn't fit or if the little tyke wasn't cooperating.

I'll let you be the judge.

She's so darn cute that she would like nice even in a potato sack. Obviously, she takes after her mom.

Why does she look like she's about to punch out the photographer?

When Lauren was borned, I asked the Geek, what colour would he like for his new baby's jumper? There was a sort of uming and ahing when I suggested red, pink, blue and then purple. In the end, I picked the lilac and purple myself, since the geek was obviously being male about the whole.

Heartwarming seems like the perfect choice, as she will no doubt soon grow into a heck of a heart breaker.

Thanks to Geek for sharing these picture of the beautiful Lauren and thanks to Lauren for making my efforts look good.

Auuuwww, what a sweetie. So darling! And the cardi is cute, too- the beaded hearts are great.

she's so cute. The first time I read this, I read Geek to be Greek and thought, what fair coloring for a Greek. The purples really suit her. Young children are notoriously difficult to photograph... well done for catching the mood in that last photo.

Both the model and the cardigan look fantastic. How lovely!

Thank you very much Polly for such an adorable jumper. I suppose I'll also have to thank Geek for such an adorable daughter!

Heartwarming looks beautiful and the model is just too adorable for words. Yes, most definitely she is going to be a heartbreaker. Watch out boys!

Oh Polly, Lauren is absolutely gorgeous - as is Heartwarming. I knitted it for my neice's first birthday in pink with a deep red contrast and her mother loved it so much she wanted an adult version for herself (hence the longstanding saga of Val's cardigan on my blog !) Said neice is now almost 3 and the adult version is nearly finished. Honest !
