Want to see the Everyday cardigan?
I bought some buttons last Saturday but they didn't fit, so I went back out on Tuesday and chose these.

Don't you think they are well suited? I kind of liked the back of the buttons as much as the front.

I wore it yesterday, eventhough there were only 4 buttons attached when I left the house in the morning.

You can see from this picture, no batwings.

I love it, really I do, but it's a heavy sweater, more like a jacket than a cardigan. I did have a panic during the blocking session when I realised that my tight-ish tension gave me a smaller sweater than the 1st size... but I showed that Peace Fleece who was boss and with a firm hand, blocked it so the it was wide enought to accomodate me. I'll get a photo of it on me one on these days.
I.LOVE. IT

I love that oceany (is that a word ? -probably not I suspect :0)) colour. And I'm so glad other people block things until they fit ! It looks great.

I vote for pictures of it being worn.
It's beautiful. I love the changes that you made to the sleeves. I also think the buttons look perfect for this sweater. Great job!

Posted by: Ann at April 18, 2004 02:38 PMIt's fantastic, Polly. Love the buttons from either side, they look very good. Great sleeves too, not a batwing in sight.

The EC is gorgeous! The buttons do indeed finish it off superbly. It's a little class act all of its own - not much "Everyday" about this FO!
Posted by: Jennifer at April 17, 2004 08:59 PMLovely Polly. The buttons really finish it off.
Posted by: Carol at April 17, 2004 06:24 PMHaving been fortunate enough to see he real thing, I know it looks good.....You are right about it being a heavyweight jacket though. Must be very warm?
