It Just Happens That Way

You were probably wondering what happened to chamomile, the project with the striping yarns that you last saw looking like this:

Actually, I finished it, thank goodness I wasn't making it for me, because I would had definitely looked like a very pudgy stuffed sausage...and cried an ocean of tears after all that knitting.

Liz of Knit Happens is very petite and that top just fits her. The official opening of Knit Happens, in Alexandria is this weekend and several of the Rowanettes are flocking down there to knit and visit. There's going to be nibblies, drinks, food and YARN. I post this photo, not just so that you can admire the lovely Liz, but LOOK AT THE SHELVES behind her.... I wished I was there too. So, if you are in the neighbourhood (which is something like 100 mile radius), drop by and say hi... to Kristine and Liz, and just please don't inspect the seams or stitches on the chamomile. Deal?

It does the heart good to see yarn shops opening...and speaking of hearts.

Heart Warming

This is for Lynne Y (Alabama)... Heart Warming is from JM07, a Jaeger Booklet with designs by Martin Storey. It's readily available on the web in Colourway or Knitting Garden. Did I mention that you have one heck of an anti virus/anti spam checker? No way was I going to get a mail through to you.

Peace Fleece

Look at that... gorgeous no? My Everyday Cardigan can finally start. It was a long wait, but really well worth it.

I was at Knit Happens yesterday and saw Chamomile hanging on the wall and admired it. I was quite surprised to stop by here today and see it again! Nice work.

yes, Camomille looks gorgeous in Liz .. wish my one did that on me .. I made it last spring as the result of a "I-got-to-have-a-knitting-project-for-Easter-panic" but have never really been happy with it .. Now I know why .. :-(
I do look - and feel - a bit like a stuffed sausage in it.. But well done job, and who cares about the stiching once its finnished and in function...

Gorgeous yarn, and beautifull Liz, esp. with Chamomille. You did a great job, and you're so patient to have persisted even with the difficulties encountered. I would so much like to be at their Grand Opening too...this wall yarn is very yummy.

Chamomile looks gorgeous, such a wonderful colour. Well done on finishing it despite all the difficulties that weird dye jobs threw into your path.

Looking forward to seeing your Everyday Cardigan in progress, the colour looks even more beautiful than on the Peace Fleece website.

I've finished the Pink Lacy now, just have the sewing up to do and see if I can take a photograph. There, I've proved to myself that I can finish things without leaving them years in between stages.

The chamomile looks great. I will definitely be at Knit Happens for their grand opening. I have already been and can't wait to go back. Those guys there are great.
