... but I feel guilty because I didn't finish Johnny or birch and I sort of cast on for something new and I'm designing it as I go along (head hanging in shame). Put it down to a *bad* day, beseiged by technology problems... and a weekend spent with putty (no, I wasn't doing DIY).
Anyway, I thought you might like to take a peek at this.

It looks so neat and weird. Can't wait to see what you make of it.

Polly, if you need more you say the word and I'll send a knitter's rescue pack with some more.
Posted by: Thomas at September 17, 2003 11:36 AMHi Emma, Carol, I'm going to have to take pictures of all my 'unusual treasures'. These fun yarns are really a test of creativity, because left to my own devices, everything that I would buy will probably be blue or black or green.
Karen, I've seen her site before and she is a wonderfully talented knitter...does she knit like the wind or what? Please don't tempt me with the yarn shops in California, I've very, very weak-willed.

Lovely looking yarn - and a great description. Take a look at the Karens Place blog, http://douma.net/Karen/knitting/ChickStuff/index.html - as you can see she had made a tshirt style top from this very stuff. Karen works part time at my LYS and most of what she knits ends up on display there for a couple of weeks. She is a very prolific and creative knitter.
I keep wondering when you will make it out West, there must be some IT company around here you just have to visit. We have plenty of yarns stores too...
Sissel sent me a ball of that,in natural / cream.Haven't a clue what to with it.It's interesting stuff.
