Step By Step

I'm still working on my gallery of finshed objects for this year. It's like a stroll down memory lane. I've been digging through pictures cursing myself for not documenting my work better, typing the details from my notes then suddenly, I broke the backspace key on my computer.

Now, I know that no one will ever use my computer, as not only are several of the letters scratched off the keypad, there's no longer a backspace keycap!

Since it's been a sock-y kind of week here are a few past sock projects that I've finished documenting. It's going slowly but step by step, I get closer to finishing.

I'm going to try to fix all broken links by the end of the week.. (fat chance, but then again you know what an optimist I am.)

Hello Polly,

Lovely site, lovely projects, and great gallery. Of course it is an inspiration to me too, and a source of wonder of your productivity. All my congratulations for such a nice blog, immediately registred as favourite, of course.
Stéphanie.

Drummed out? More likely to get you plenty of 911 requests for assistance. Hats off. Or socks off, or whatever.

LOVE the gallery. I made the Brittany Dress, in red also, for Baby Rose. But you know that. I'd like to do another one, in .... denim of course.

Am I to understand that the ladder of life sock has a rainbow heel and the rest is black? I like it! Keep on keeping on. Love, Kay

Hi Lis, MT? CSS? I'm going to have to confess, I wrote the html and javascript by hand. My hosting company was a bit flakey on Friday night, so I couldn't access the MT scripts, so I started scripting it by hand, which believe it or not was much less traumatic, than getting disconnected every 16-20 minutes. I hope this geeky confession doesn't get me drummed out of the knitting ring ..

Polly!! Your knitting is an inspiration to me as well. So much talent and skill...you are a special woman. I also admire your MT and CSS skills. My space is under construction too, inspired, among other things, by you.

Hi Louise, I've made quite a few things from that brochure... it didn't catch my eye when it first came out but it's been an outstanding value for me. Thanks for all the kind words and praise. You've put my heads in the clouds. Polly

Polly, thank you so much for your gallery pictures and details. There is so much inspiration there, it has fired me up and I have decided that I simply must buy myself the Jaeger handknits Accessories Brochure. I have just got to have a little beaded bag like your black silk one. I've never knitted with beads before so this is the pefect sized project to get me started.

I just love your blog, keep up the good work.
